Once Upon a Shine and Show...
April is threatening to close in momentarily which means that May will rear its ugly head in no time. I am looking for chivalry, bravery and a strong stomach in the face of an enormous pile of student work as we near the annual art show. Volunteers will receive clock hours and my gratitude, and in the case of some loyal returnees, any kidney of mine that they prefer.
On Thursday, May 26 we will have the annual art show, with the theme this year of fairy tales. We need selfless, strong and trustworthy moms and dads and grandparents and uncles and anyone with a pulse that can clear a background check to help hang the artwork. We will overtake the cafeteria and the gym and hallways, transforming St. Joe's into a land from a fairy tale. Installation begins Wednesday, May 25 and all day Thursday, May 26.
I NEED YOUR HELP!!! Every year it comes down to a handful of amazing people that hang (literally!) over a thousand pieces of student artwork. Just one hour of your time can make the difference! Look for a meeting in early May to describe what needs to be done and where. Thanks!!
